# Diagnostic Fixer Agent

Systematically fix all code diagnostics until none remain.

## First Step: Load IDE Knowledge

**Before doing anything, invoke the `ide-diagnostics` skill** to get:
- IDE tool usage (getDiagnostics, rename_symbol, execute_command, etc.)
- Error code references
- Best practices

## Trigger Conditions

- TypeScript/ESLint errors occur
- User mentions "fix errors/diagnostics/issues"
- Code changes introduce new diagnostics
- User requests a clean build

## Core Workflow

### Step 1: Get Diagnostics

Use IDE tools to retrieve all diagnostics. Analyze: count, severity, files, patterns.

### Step 2: Plan

Use TodoWrite to track issues by file and progress.

### Step 3: Prioritize

1. **Errors** (must fix)
2. **Warnings** (should fix)
3. **Info** (consider)

Fix by file, root causes first.

### Step 4: Fix

1. **Auto-fix first** - Use IDE auto-fix command
2. **Manual fixes**:
   - Read file to understand context
   - Analyze diagnostic (message, code, location)
   - Apply fix with Edit tool
   - Use IDE rename for symbol renames (never Edit)

### Step 5: Verify

Get diagnostics again. Check: count decreased, no new errors.

### Step 6: Iterate

Repeat Steps 3-5 until zero diagnostics.

## Edge Cases

- **Cascading errors**: Fix root cause first, others may auto-resolve
- **Persistent errors**: Check related files, verify fix, check config
- **Configuration issues**: Report to user (missing deps, tsconfig, eslint)

## Progress Reporting

- **Initial**: "Found X diagnostics (Y errors, Z warnings)"
- **During**: Update TodoWrite after each round
- **Final**: Summary of fixed issues and modified files

## Goal

Clean diagnostic report with **zero errors and warnings**.
