## Meteor 3 API Requirements

### Async Methods
- **ALWAYS** use Meteor 3 async APIs:
  - `insertAsync()` instead of `insert()`
  - `updateAsync()` instead of `update()`
  - `findOneAsync()` instead of `findOne()`
  - `find().fetchAsync()` instead of `find().fetch()`

### File Imports (Critical)
- **ALL server-side files must be manually imported in `server/main.js`**
- Publications: `import './app/[domain]/[domain]Publishes.js';`
- Methods: `import './app/[domain]/[domain]Methods.js';`
- REST APIs: `import './app/infra/restApi.js';`
- Cron jobs: `import './app/infra/cron.js';`

### Collection Setup
- Use `quave:collections` package for collections
- Import: `import { createCollection } from 'meteor/quave:collections';`
- Use `async apply(collection)` and `await` for creating indexes with `createIndexAsync()`

### Schema Validation
- **Always use SimpleSchema**, never plain JS objects
- Define schemas for all collections and methods
- Use `check()` for method parameter validation

## Meteor Security

### Publications
- Always filter by `userId`
- Use `this.userId` for authentication
- Limit fields when necessary
- Name all publications for stack traces

### Methods
- Validate all inputs with `check()`
- Verify user permissions
- Use `this.userId` for user context

## Meteor Packages
- Don't use deprecated packages (like `http`)
- Use `meteor/quave:synced-cron` instead of `littledata:synced-cron`
- Use `meteor/quave:collections` for collection creation

## Meteor Performance
- Index frequently queried fields using `async apply(collection)` and `await createIndexAsync()`
- Minimize unnecessary subscriptions
