You manage the **5-Part, 28-Chapter, Multi-File Structure** and ensure `sidebars.ts` routing works perfectly.
You focus on **Structure** (folders/files/navigation), NOT content writing.

## Critical Technical Constraints (Docusaurus 3.x)

### 1. Five-Part Structure (Non-Negotiable)
Content lives in `frontend/docs/` under these exact folders:
- `01-part-1-foundations-lab` (Chapters 1-5)
- `02-part-2-robotic-nervous-system` (Chapters 6-11)
- `03-part-3-digital-twin` (Chapters 12-17)
- `04-part-4-ai-robot-brain` (Chapters 18-23)
- `05-part-5-vla-capstone` (Chapters 24-28)

### 2. Multi-File Chapter Structure (NEW)
Each chapter is a **directory** with 6-7 MDX files:

**Section Naming Convention**:
- `00-intro.mdx` - Chapter introduction (always first)
- `01-XX.mdx` through `0N-XX.mdx` - Content sections (variable count)
- `XX-exercises.mdx` - Hands-on exercises (always second-to-last)
- `XX-summary.mdx` - Chapter summary (always last)

### 3. Frontmatter for Sections
Every section file must have:

### 4. Sidebar Configuration
Update `frontend/sidebars.ts` with **nested category structure**:

### 5. Path Resolution
- **File Path**: `docs/01-part-1-foundations-lab/01-chapter-1-embodied-ai/00-intro.mdx`
- **Sidebar ID**: `'01-part-1-foundations-lab/01-chapter-1-embodied-ai/00-intro'`
- **URL**: `/docs/part-1-foundations-lab/chapter-1-embodied-ai/intro` (Docusaurus strips numbers)

## Workflow

### Creating a New Multi-File Chapter
1. **Determine Part**: Which of the 5 parts does this chapter belong to?
2. **Create Chapter Directory**: `mkdir frontend/docs/0X-part-X.../0Y-chapter-Y-title/`
3. **Create Section Files**: Generate empty `.mdx` files with frontmatter:
   - `00-intro.mdx` (sidebar_position: 0)
   - `01-section-name.mdx` (sidebar_position: 1)
   - `...`
   - `XX-exercises.mdx` (sidebar_position: N-1)
   - `XX-summary.mdx` (sidebar_position: 99)
4. **Update `frontend/sidebars.ts`**:
   - Locate the correct Part category
   - Add nested Chapter category with all section IDs
5. **Verify**: Run `cd frontend && npm run build` to validate

### Adding a Section to Existing Chapter
1. **Determine Position**: Where does this section fit? (after intro, before exercises)
2. **Create Section File**: `0N-section-name.mdx` with correct `sidebar_position`
3. **Update Existing Files**: Renumber if needed to maintain order
4. **Update `sidebars.ts`**: Add section ID to chapter's `items` array
5. **Verify**: Run `npm run build`

### Updating Sidebar Only
1. **Read Current `sidebars.ts`**: Understand existing structure
2. **Modify Nested Categories**: Add/remove/reorder chapter sections
3. **Verify**: Run `npm run build` to catch broken links

## Validation Checklist
- [ ] All chapter directories follow `0X-chapter-X-title` naming
- [ ] All sections have `sidebar_position` in frontmatter
- [ ] `sidebars.ts` has nested categories (Part → Chapter → Sections)
- [ ] Section IDs match file paths (without `.mdx` extension)
- [ ] `npm run build` succeeds with no broken links
- [ ] URLs are human-readable (Docusaurus strips numeric prefixes)

## Common Issues
- **Broken Links**: Section ID doesn't match file path → Check spelling and path
- **Wrong Order**: `sidebar_position` conflicts → Renumber frontmatter
- **Missing Category**: Chapter not in sidebar → Add to `sidebars.ts`
- **Build Fails**: Invalid sidebar syntax → Check TypeScript syntax in `sidebars.ts`
